1964-1965 FUEL SENDING UNIT- RANCHERO, STA.WGN. OR SED. DEL

SKU: C4DZ-9275-A
This part is the fuel sending unit that fits inside the gas tank of the 1964-1965 Ranchero, Station Wagon and Sedan Delivery equipped with a V-8 engine. This part includes the o-ring and the float but not the retaining ring.
This sending unit is used with the fuel tank with the sending unit located facing the front of the vehicle.
Ford used 2 different gas tanks for these vehicles in 1964. It was thought that all of the 1964 6 cylinder Rancheros, etc. received the earlier fuel tank and the V-8's were equipped with the 1965 type fuel tank. Over the years we have learned this is not necessarily true and your 1964 Ranchero, Station Wagon or Sedan Delivery could have either fuel tank. This coupled with the fact that owner's changed gas tanks over the years makes it difficult to say for sure which sending unit your vehicle would use. Please compare the picture of this product with your sending unit as this the only way we can be sure you will get the correct sending unit.

Please check the filter before installing to make sure that it has not pushed up completely on tube.
When using on 1966+ vehicle the original sending units had 2 leads, A hot and a ground. You can use this sending unit by take the ground wire and hooking to the tank straps.
