This part is the molding clip to fit in the square body molding holes in the 1961 Deluxe, 1962 Futura and the 1964-1965 Futura and Sprint. Although difference in appearance from the original 1965 clips, it is also a Ford substitute part for the 1965 molding clips.
The rubber that may be on the original clips is not included on the aftermarket clips. The purpose of the rubber is to keep moisture from entering the mounting holes. We recommend using a dab of silcone or RTV sealant when installing the clips.
To correctly install the clip, place the tabs on the back of the clip into the square hole in the body panel. Using a pair of suitable pliers, squeeze together the 2 small tabs on the front of the clip. This squeezing action will force the 2 tabs on the rear of the clip to expand outward and lock the clip into place.

The 1964 - 1965 Ford Falcon Futura 2 Door Sedan, Hardtop & Convertible as well as the Sprint Hardtop & Convertible use 64 Each of these clips.
