The purpose of the seal is to ensure fresh air flow to the heater box. If the seal is missing or defective, the fresh air will flow into the passenger area of the vehicle rendering the heater useless. The seal is retained to the cowl by two spring steel clamps, 373920-S, that are not included. This part will fit all models of the 1960-1965 Ford Falcon & Mercury Comet.
