This is the column shift control selector position detent. It is what holds the shift lever in the park position. This part is used when a C-4 transmission has been installed in all models the 1960 - 64 Ford Falcon & Mercury Comet. This part has the correct width cutout for the C-4 but is still narrow enough to fit into the 1960 - 64 turn signal mounting flange.
